Playboy Files Lawsuit Over Kate Moss Photos
After putting Kate Moss on the cover of its 60th anniversary issue, Playboy is now suing Harper’s Bazaar for allegedly using photographs of the supermodel without permission.
In legal papers filed on Friday against Harper’s publisher Hearst Communications, Playboy alleges that the luxury magazine violated its exclusive right to publish photos taken by fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcos Piggott, the Independent reports. The lawsuit, which seeks $150,000 per photo, alleges Harper’s posted a photo of Moss from the Playboy shoot on its website and allegedly included a link to another website with more copyrighted nude and partially nude photos.
