We’re proud to tell you that Czechs are one of the most open-minded nationalities in Central and Eastern Europe so there’s nothing to be afraid of.
In the poll, it was discovered that 80% of Czechs think other sexual orientations should be accepted with 57% supporting full same-sex marriages (the EU average being 44%) and that was seven years ago.

Vogue’s first cover girl of 2017 is Ruth Negga, who opened up about making the film Loving and what it was like to grow up as the daughter of a white Irish nurse and a black Ethiopian doctor in the U.K. in the magazine’s accompanying article.
The actress plays Mildred Loving in Loving, which centers on the interracial marriage that made civil rights history, Loving vs. Virginia. As a part of the process, she recalled her own biracial experience; especially poignant is her memories of discovering her biracial identity after moving to England at age 11, not long after her father passed away.

Before and after satellite images show the horrifying scale of the destruction left in the wake of the Guatemala volcano eruption.
The pictures, from satellite imagery company Digital Globe, show the world-famous La Reunion Golf Resort on April 7, 2017 and on Wednesday – days after the eruption of Volcan de Fuego, Spanish for “volcano of fire.”
The once lush, green resort appears completely blanketed by lava and grey ash.

Publishing your Sherlock Holmes fan-fiction just got a whole lot easier.
The Seventh Circuit Court ruled Monday that Arthur Conan Doyle’s famous detective is almost entirely in the public domain.
The decision came in a suit between the Doyle estate and Leslie Klinger, who was editing a set of stories inspired by Sherlock Holmes and other Doyle characters. This was Klinger’s second book of stories based on the Sherlock Holmes canon.
